Our first school year meeting

There were four of us in our first meeting.

We started speaking about the activities we are hoping to carry out this year:
- We will try to have at least one observation each season and there is a proporsal to mske an observation of the Sun during the cultural week.  This will be preceded by one observation  by the group members.
- There will be some brief workshops in order to practise Astronomy and practise our English.

We conducted an exercice where we tried to locate constelations in a stars map. The only clue being that the star in the middle was the Polaris star. The Big Bear constelation was found very quicly with the Mizar star seen  in the midlle of the handle.

We would like to have an observation of the Moon in its first quarter in three weeks time, then we are going to learn about the main areas of the Moon in the next meeting on October the 4th .
